Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions that I hear from potential clients before we start working together.  If your question isn't here, please reach out and we'll respond quickly.

  • How is a coach different than a mentor?
A lot of people ask this question. A mentor usually has expertise and a network that you can access to advance your skills and/or career. A mentor may share or provide access to their power base, and may lead to becoming a sponsor. A coach is different. A coach asks you questions to consider the ways you think and behave, to reflect on how your actions and intentions are aligned or not. In the case of coaching, the expert is you. The coach helps you to observe what you have hidden from yourself.
  • Are you a credentialed coach?
I am Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with The International Coach Federation. The PCC distinguishes coaches with the verified skills required for effective coaching practice and substantial experience partnering with clients. The PCC is designed for established coaches who provide coaching services as a primary focus of their professional practice. PCC coaches are required to demonstrate their continued professional development to maintain their PCC status. As of December 31, 2023, there were 22,521 active PCC credential-holders worldwide.
  • Are coaching sessions face-to-face, or virtual?
Great question. Depending upon your location, most coaching sessions will be conducted virtually, over Zoom. If you prefer to use another platform, I can log into your system with ease.
  • Where are you located?
I live in Mahone Bay Nova Scotia. I moved here in 2021 during the height of the Pandemic. Previously I lived in the Greater Toronto Area, including The Beach and Oakville, for over thirty years.
  • Can I talk to people that you have coached?
I have been blessed with the generosity of many of my former clients offering testimonials, both here on this website and on my LinkedIn profile. These testimonials and my credentials provide evidence of what you might expect in working with me.
